Hampton's Battery F Pennsylvania Independent Light Artillery
Hampton's Battery F is a Union Artillery unit established in 1994. Since its inception, the unit has portrayed the life of Civil War Union Artillery soldiers are various events such as Gettysburg, Cedar Creek, and Antietam. The unit can also be found at smaller events such as schools, guided tours, and ceremonies where they can provide the public with an educational experience into soldier life. The unit uses a full scale reproduction of a Model 1861 Ten-Pound Parrot Rifle for their events. With their Parrot Rifle, a light artillery unit could quickly strike at targets over 1 mile away and provided much needed support to the infantry.
