The Furious Fourth
Based out of Pennsylvania, the Furious Fourth WWII Living History Groups seeks to convey the personal stories, struggles, and triumphs of the typical GI who battled across Europe in WWII. The outfit formally portrays Baker Company, 1st Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division, but boasts naval, air forces, and prisoner of war impressions as well. Many of the group members have professional backgrounds in education, history, and the military. The group typically participates in 12-15 events per year throughout the Mid-Atlantic to allow maximum participation flexibility for members. Minimum age for membership is 16. Authenticity standards are held. New members are thoroughly and cordially guided through the processes of attaining gear, learning proper event etiquette, and becoming skilled public presenters.
