Selfridge Military Air Museum began with the foresight and planning of Col. Robert A. Stone and other officers and enlisted men and women in the Michigan Air National Guard in 1975-76. The museum and our parent organization, the Michigan Air Guard Historical Association (MAGHA) began to preserve the history of Selfridge Air National Guard Base, formerly Selfridge Field & Selfridge Air Force Base and the history of the Michigan Air National Guard. The history of Selfridge and the museum can be found at the website below. (Description provided courtesy of the Selfridge Military Air Museum)
