Welcome to cave spring ga. Fannin Hall

This is the original administration building for the school of deaf built in 1848

In October of 1864 after the fall of Atlanta Ga. Cave Spring was used as the headquarters for the confederate army of tennessee, it was here General Beauregard and General John Bell Hood discussed the plans for the battle of franklin in hopes to draw Sherman away from Atlanta.
This building was used as a field hospital to treat booth union and confederate soldiers during the civil war. During the war it was here the " Missouri Boys"of the famous "Orphan Brigade" where treated following the battle of Allatoona Pass. Several soldiers have died here due to mortal wounds and bleeding to death from such crude field surgeries from sawing off arms and legs. There was nothing to give them for pain are to put them to sleep during surgery so  many soldiers died from shock.

We would like to take you back in time to 1864 and show you the reality of camp life for a soldier and how a dr. Would treat wounded soldiers during the war.

The city will be bringing a trolly around every 2 hours,we will be putting on a hospital scenario and a skirmish.
