Our "A Walk in Their Boots" Living History Group has another exciting Military Timeline event planned for our 3rd year at Camp Davy Crockett in 2026!  The event presents military and civilian displays from various time periods throughout history. We will have military encampments, equipment, weapons, vehicles, and more! There will be Weapons Demonstrations and Battle Reenactments along with Military Vehicles on parade throughout the day!  Again, this year, the event will feature several ARMORED vehicles, including our star of the show, a World War II German “Tiger” tank! Also present will be the Cold War era British “Scorpion” tank, a British “Abbott” Self-Propelled Gun, a US Vietnam War era “Gun Truck” known as the “Ace of Spades,” a WWII US M 20 and Cold War era British "Feret" Armored Cars, along with multiple jeeps, military trucks, motorcycles, etc.  These are absolutely phenomenal machines, and to see them in action is astounding!    As always, the event is FREE and open to the public! We invite you to come step back through history and experience a day in the life of a soldier in the field!

Our living history organization is comprised of re-enactors and living historians based in beautiful Northeast Tennessee. Since 2011, our organization has hosted Veterans tribute events known as "A Walk in Their Boots." The objective of these events is to honor those who lived, fought, and died during some of the most difficult moments in American and world history. The events offer the public opportunities to visit extensive displays of military and civilian equipment, gear, weapons, vehicles, etc., representing various time periods from the Revolutionary War to modern day. We present battle re-enactments, weapons demonstrations, cannon firing, a lecture series, and more. The events are free to attend, and our annual Veterans Day event in November features a special Veterans Recognition Program. We also offer an "Education Day" for local student groups to experience a day in the life of the American soldier during the conflicts that shaped our country's rich history.
