Annual Redball Winter Show

This marker marks the location of the Battle of Locust Ridge. The inscriptio nreads, "On August 2, 1784, a battle was fought here in the 3rd Yankee-Pennamite War. After a brutal winter, the Yankee settlers were forcibly pushed from their homes in the Wyoming Valley by the Pennsylvania militia. As a result, a battle of the campaign to rid the region of Connecticut settlers was fought. The grave of Jacob Everett, the only mortally wounded casualty of the battle, is located nearby on the ridge."

Founded in 1972, the Aviation Hall of Fame & Museum of New Jersey (NJAHOF) is dedicated to the preservation of the Garden State’s distinguished aviation and space heritage. The men and women whose outstanding aeronautical achievements have brought worldwide acclaim to the state and are enshrined in the NJAHOF. The NJAHOF offers visitors an opportunity to view historic air and space equipment and artifacts, photographs, fine art, and an extensive model collection. The facility’s library has more than 2,500 volumes and hundreds of photographs.
