The Winterset Iowa Reenactment is back after 22 years away!!
Held during the Madison county covered bridge festival in Winterset, Iowa, the battle features thousands of feet of earthworks with a 200 acre battlefield. Artillery/cavalry/Infantry civilian sutlers all welcome separate camping for mainstream and authentics camp in the fortification earthworks. Some notable features include..
- Major battles on saturday and sunday.
- Turkey shoot planned sunday after the event.
- Confederate forces defending railroad lines.
- Union forces defending telegraph lines.
- Separate camps for mainstream and authentics.
- Random skirmishes and sorties.
