The Battle of Richmond Reenactment

Gather round and attend the Battle of Richmond Reenactment, an event packed with exciting battles, sutlers, and a wealth of knowledge about the events that transpired during this pivotal battle in 1862.

The Battle of Richmond Association invites you to join them in their annual reenactment where you'll be able to step back in time and immerse yourself in the history of the conflict that changed the course of American history. The event will be held at the actual battlefield and will feature an array of educational activities including lectures by historians, historical weapons demonstrations, uniform displays, and plenty of period-appropriate entertainment.

In addition to all that is offered, members of the reenactment community provide a vivid narrative on life during this time period — giving you insight into what it was like for those living through the CIvil War You'll have an opportunity to witness a battle reenactment between Union and Confederate forces as they clash across the fields outside Richmond. It's sure to be a spectacle unlike any other!

The association also invites sutlers from throughout the area to set up shop at our event selling period-specific wares such as uniforms, weaponry, food items, clothing items and more! So please don't forget your pocketbook if you plan on doing some shopping during your visit.
