Come to Broxton Bridge Plantation and experience a historic Civil War reenactment of the Battle of Broxton Bridge! On February 2, 1865, Union forces were making their way from Savannah to Columbia and encountered Confederate forces in a last-ditch effort to defend their position. Pitched battles took place at both Rivers and Broxton Bridge, leaving behind historic breastworks that remain today.
Come and celebrate the bravery of those who fought at this historical site and gain a deeper understanding of Civil War era life. Watch as reenactors recreate the struggle between Union and Confederate soldiers with period-accurate uniforms, firearms, artillery pieces and cavalry tactics.
