Tucson Military Vehicle Museum Displays

TUCSON, AZ – History rolls into Tucson with the grand opening of the Tucson Military Vehicle Museum on Friday, March 21, 2025. This one-of-a-kind museum brings military history to life with more than 60 military vehicles spanning from World War I to the present day.

Visitors can see tanks, armored personnel carriers, amphibious assault vehicles, and artillery up close, many of the exhibits are hands on. This museum offers a rare chance to explore the power and evolution of ground forces throughout modern history.

A major highlight is a collection of 21 restored U.S. and British World War II vehicles. These impressive machines came from the private collection of the late Count Ferdinand von Galen, who served as the museum’s former Chairman of the Board. Donated by his family in his memory, the collection honors his dedication to preserving history.

The museum’s exhibits also include loaned vehicles from the National Museum of the U.S. Marine Corps, the U.S. Army, and other institutions. Thanks to support from the U.S. General Services Administration, the collection includes both domestic and international examples.

Operated by the Arizona Aerospace Foundation—the same nonprofit behind the Pima Air & Space Museum and Titan Missile Museum—the new museum expands Tucson’s military heritage offerings. While located on the same property as Pima Air & Space, tickets for each museum will be sold separately.

In the future, the Tucson Military Vehicle Museum plans to host live demonstrations and even offer ride and drive experiences. This growing collection promises new additions and continued expansion over time.

The museum will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the last admission at 3 p.m. Hours may vary during summer months, and visitors can check the official website for updates on hours and pricing at www.tucsonmilitaryvehicle.org.
