Affiliate Disclosure
Milsurpia participates in affiliate programs. Some of the maps, widgets, and links on this site earn us a commission when you make a purchase or booking through them, at no additional cost to you. This page explains who our partners are, how we use these links, and how we keep them from influencing what you see.
Our affiliate partners
At this time, Milsurpia uses one affiliate partner:
- Stay22 for lodging maps shown near event locations. If you book a hotel or short-term rental through a Stay22 widget on Milsurpia, we may receive a commission from the booking provider. You pay the same price you would pay booking directly.
If we add new affiliate partners (for example, gear or book retailers), this page will be updated to list them and the surfaces where they appear.
How we decide what to show
Affiliate placements appear based on relevance to the page you are on, not because of payment. A Stay22 lodging map shows up on event detail pages because the event has a physical location and lodging is useful context. We do not promote a specific hotel or rank one above another in exchange for compensation. The map is generated by Stay22 based on the event's coordinates.
Where you will see disclosures
Every page that contains an affiliate widget shows two disclosures:
- A short note directly above the widget, so you see it before you click anything.
- A summary block in the footer of the page, expandable for the full text, linking back here.
Your choice
Using or not using these links does not change your access to anything on Milsurpia. The maps and other content remain visible whether you book through them or not. If you would rather book directly with a hotel or platform, that is fine. We display affiliate placements as a convenience, not a requirement.
FTC compliance
This disclosure exists to comply with the United States Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255), which require clear and conspicuous disclosure of material connections between an endorser and a seller.
